AuraGold Farms Ooray Rain Plum Mixer and the colloborative Castle Glen Australia Ooray Plum Fermented Liqueur have both been named finalists in the 2010 Food Challenge Awards run by Australia’s Food Magazine.
‘We were told last week our natural sugar free Ooray Plum Antioxidant Mixer was a finalist in the non-alcoholic beverage section and now our colloborative entry with Castle Glen Winery from Queensland’s Stanthorpe has also been named a finalist-we are truly humbled by this news’, says Scott Mathias Managing Director of LivingBeautiful Pty Ltd the creators of the AuraGold Farms ‘Pure Australian Superfoods’ products and brand.
Both products join an elite line-up representing some big Australian food names and beverage companies including Bayer, Sunraysia Natural Juice Company, Bickfords, Mildura Tea Estates, Burleigh Brewing Company, MAC Breweries and Independent Distillers.
‘In both cases – the Ooray plum Mixer and Liqueur-we are footing it with established businesses. It has taken less than 12 months to design and make the products using both in- house and contract design and manufacturing people. Again big thanks go to people on the ground including farmers and growers who have helped bring the humble Ooray Plum (davidson’s plum) out of ancient Australia and into the 21st century’.
Catherine Pickavet, Editor of the Food Magazine, said she was most impressed with the labeling and general ‘look and feel’ of the two products and looked forward to seeing both products in Sydney on July the 22nd when the winners will be announced.
