100% Pure Naturally Fermented Digestive Liqueur
This liqueur is produced in collaboration with Castle Glen Winery, Stanthorpe, Queensland from fruit supplied by AuraGold Farms. Quantities of the endangered variety of the Australian Rain Plum were sourced from a secluded area of Northern New South Wales. All fruit has come from recently establish plantations or wild harvested under appropriate management conditions.

This is the first time this variety of plum –davidsonia jerseyana – has been used to make an amazingly coloured and unctuous liqueur of 20%Alc. strength.
The fruit used to create this product is unique for its many health qualities .
Production has followed the ‘time-honoured’ processes used by Castle Glen to create a 100% PURE and NATURAL liqueur with almost zero human interference.
The bottle shape and label design were chosen to clearly allow the products natural colours to be appreciated – when sunlight shines through the bottle – the crimsony-magenta hues can only be described as ‘out of this world’.
This product has excellent export potential, particularly to Japan, Korea, Taiwan, as in these countries the plum is much revered for its wonderful digestive qualities.
From a sustainability perspective, this AuraGold Farms project is perhaps the first to take the Australian Rain Plum out of the category of the traditional ‘bush tucker’ and into the realm of mainstream niche alcoholic beverages. It marks a turning point in Castle Glen Liqueur production as being the first true product to originate from a pure Australian Indigenous fruit.
The Castle Glen Australian Rain Plum naturally fermented liqueur contains only 100% skin on and whole seed davidsonia jerseyana plum.
The Australian Rain Plum has been tested to reveal very high levels of the red antioxidant – anthocyanin which are known to assist in the product of hydrogen which in turns supports cellular health and aids the immune system. A Rural Industries and Development Corporation report into the Ooray Rain Plum also found it contains high levels of Lutein, VitE and Folate, Zn, Mg, Ca, Mo and high potassium: sodium ration.
Plums used to produce this liqueur were tested and shown to contain 82.2 mg of anthocyanins per gram, described by the testing scientist, as ‘extraordinary. In short the Ooray Rain Plum holds great promise and potential as what is described as a ‘functional food’ line – in this case we recommend a small 10ml glass following meals which is quite safe to support the digestive process.
